ACE Bermuda today announced the appointment of two Bermudians to its underwriting team. Stephen Jones joins ACE Bermuda’s Professional lines Department in the position of Vice President reporting to Jeffrey Jabon, Senior Vice President, Professional Lines. Raymond Tannock joins the company’s Excess Liability department as Assistant Vice President and Underwriter reporting to Judy Gonsalves, Executive Vice President, Excess Liability.
Commenting on the appointments, Rees Fletcher, ACE Bermuda President and Chief Executive Officer said, “I am extremely proud to announce the addition of Stephen and Raymond to our underwriting team. Mr. Jones has over ten years experience in underwriting professional liability risks for Fortune 1000 businesses. He joins ACE from Allied World Assurance Company were he worked for the past eight years, rising to the position of Assistant Vice President, Professional Liability. Previously he worked at Chubb Atlantic Indemnity Ltd, Bermuda where he started his underwriting career. Mr. Jones holds the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designation and is a graduate of the Bermuda College where he received an Associate Degree in Business Administration majoring in Risk Management and Insurance. He serves on the Scholarship Committee for the Bermuda Foundation for Insurance Studies and has held numerous positions with the Bermuda Insurance Institute.
Mr. Tannock joins ACE Bermuda from his previous employment in the UK with Allied World Assurance Company where he served as Senior Underwriter in the company’s general casualty department. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from three years of working in the London insurance market. Mr. Tannock holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and graduated magna cum laude from Hampton University in Virginia where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance.
