The CODA policy is designed to provide comprehensive coverage for directors and officers when their companies fail to indemnify them, or when traditional D&O insurance programmes fail to respond. The cover can be written on a primary or excess basis, dropping down to a primary level where the underlying coverage is narrower or non existent.

The normal maximum limit for CODA polices is £25m and is available to directors and officers of companies that are incorporated in the UK.

2. Side A Directors and Officers Liability Follow Form – Personal Asset Protection for Directors and Officers
The Side A Follow Form policy is designed to provide excess coverage for directors and officers of companies that are incorporated in various jurisdictions. It specifically ‘drops down’ (by endorsement) to protect insureds who are unable to collect valid claim payments due to insolvency of an underlying insurance company. This Side A policy can be seen as an alternative to the CODA product that provides comprehensive coverage.

3. Directors & Officers and Corporate Reimbursement Liability Insurance (D&O)

• Maximum Limit: US$25m, €15m or £15m
• Minimum attachment point: US$50m, €44m or £30m

6. Prospectus Liability Insurance    

For companies raising funds with a prospectus in the public domain. ABI offers excess Public Offering of Securities Insurance with a maximum limit of £10m.
