ACE Foundation - Bermuda
Since its formation in 1997, the ACE Foundation - Bermuda has played a significant role as a major philanthropic force in Bermuda. It has donated more than $20 million to local charitable causes, established the Robert Clements/ACE Scholarship, the Madeline Joell Nest Egg Fund, and the ACE/Bermuda College Education Award in addition to volunteer and matching gift programs for ACE employees. ACE Global Day of Service
ACE employees continue to support the Bermuda community through volunteer service projects. On 22 October 2010 ACE celebrated its 25th anniversary with the ACE Global Day of Service which saw approximately 120 employees in Bermuda participate in 11 community service projects across the Island. Around the world over 7,700 ACE employees participated in 200 projects in 46 countries.
Investors in People
On 27 June 2011, the ACE Group in Bermuda announced it successful recertification as an Investors in People organisation with Silver status. Attainment of Investors in People Silver acknowledges that ACE consistently performs above and beyond the Investors in People Standard and demonstrates the company's ongoing commitment to employee development and business improvement. In December 2007, the ACE Group achieved recertification of the investors in People Standard, recognising ACE's ongoing commitment to the development of its employees and the adoption of a framework of best practices designed to improve business performance.
In February 2005, the ACE Group in Bermuda received formal recognition of its successful attainment of the Investors in People Standard. The Hon. Terry Lister, JP, MP, Minister of Education, presented the official Investors in People plaque and flag to Evan Greenberg, President and Chief Executive Officer of ACE Limited, at a company meeting at the ACE Building in Hamilton.
