The ACE Tempest Re Group today announced the appointment of Steve Roberts as Managing Director of its ACE Tempest Re International business, which includes operations in London, Zurich, Sao Paulo and Shanghai. Effective immediately, Mr. Roberts will have responsibility for the overall management and development of ACE Tempest Re’s property and casualty reinsurance business in these territories. Mr. Roberts is currently the Deputy Managing Director of the region. He will remain based in London and will report to Jacques Bonneau, President and Chief Executive Officer of ACE Tempest Re Group.

Mr. Roberts joined ACE Tempest Re in 2005 and has served in his current role since 2008. Prior to joining ACE Tempest Re, Mr. Roberts held a number of senior assignments with XL Re, where he served as Chief Casualty Underwriter, and various London-based Syndicates.
