About ACE Tempest Re Canada
ACE Tempest Re Canada, a wholly owned managing underwriter, writes all lines of property and casualty reinsurance.  It was established in late 2006 to serve the Canadian insurance market.

ACE Tempest Re Canada is authorised to write reinsurance on behalf of ACE's licensed and admitted Canadian insurance companies. In addition, ACE Tempest Re Canada is a Lloyd’s approved coverholder and can offer clients access to Syndicate 2488, a wholly owned ACE syndicate, also licensed and admitted in Canada.

Financial Strength

• ACE INA is rated A by both A.M. Best and Standard and Poors.  ACE INA has a Financial Size Category of Class VIII. Policyholder surplus as of September 30, 2006 was $230,141,000.  The rating was reaffirmed with a stable outlook by A.M. Best on October 16, 2006.
  
• ACE Lloyd’s Syndicate 2488 has a performance rating of A- from Moody’s.  Additionally, Syndicate 2488 benefits from the financial strength ratings assigned to the Lloyd's Market: A+ by S&P and Fitch; A by A.M. Best.

• Excess - maximum capacity $10mm per risk, per program/$20mm per occurrence,  per program
• Pro-rata/Surplus - maximum capacity $20mm per occurrence per program
• Catastrophe - maximum capacity $20mm per occurrence per program

Casualty 

• Excess - maximum capacity $10mm per risk per program
• Pro-rata/Surplus - maximum capacity $10mm per risk per program

Surety

• Excess - maximum capacity $10mm per program
• Pro-Rata/Surplus - maximum capacity $10mm per risk, per program

Crop Hail

• Excess - maximum capacity $10mm per program
• Pro-rata/Surplus - maximum capacity $5mm per risk per program
