The ACE Tempest Re Group, headquartered in Bermuda, oversees the reinsurance operations of the ACE Group of Companies. Established in Bermuda in October 1993 in response to the dislocation of the catastrophe reinsurance market following Hurricane Andrew, it has grown into a leading global multi-line reinsurance operation with offices in Bermuda, London, Montreal, Stamford and Zurich and maintains an underwriting presence at Lloyd's China Re in Shanghai.
Each of the ACE Tempest Re companies offer a responsive and client-focused approach to risk assessment and pricing, with an emphasis on actuarial modeling. This highly analytical approach, developed for the property catastrophe market, has been modified to structure catastrophe products for such lines as workers compensation and personal accident catastrophe reinsurance and is also applied to non-catastrophe property and casualty business.
Bermuda-based ACE Tempest Life Re underwrites life and annuity reinsurance while ACE Tempest Re USA focuses on traditional life products. |
